Using the Media Manager

The Media Manager is a powerful tool in the Bourne AI console for uploading, browsing, searching, and selecting files (documents, images, audio) to use in proposals, knowledge bases, and other workflows.

Opening the Media Manager

  • The Media Manager is accessed from the Config Sidebar in the proposal editor, or from any feature that allows you to attach files.
  • It appears as a modal dialog with tabs for managing and uploading files, centralizing all your files and making it easy to find and use the right resources for your proposals.

Browsing and Filtering Files

  • Files are displayed in a table with columns for file name, date created, and status.
  • Use the search bar to filter files by name or title.
  • Use the subfolder dropdown to filter files by subfolder (if you organize files into folders).
  • Use the status filter to show only active files.
  • Use the display mode buttons (All, Documents, Images, Audio) to filter by file type. Powerful search and filtering tools help you quickly locate the files you need, saving time and reducing frustration.

Uploading Files

  • Switch to the Upload tab to add new files.
  • Drag and drop files into the upload area, or click to browse your computer.
  • Supported formats include:
    • Documents: PDF, DOCX, TXT, CSV, RTF, PPTX, XLSX, etc.
    • Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, SVG
    • Audio: MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, WMA, CAF, AIFF, OPUS
  • You can specify a subfolder to organize your uploads.
  • After uploading, files appear in the Manage tab and are available for selection. Easy uploading and organization ensure your resources are always at your fingertips.

Selecting Files

  • Use the checkboxes to select one or more files for your proposal or agent.
  • Use Select all in folder and Deselect all buttons for bulk actions.
  • Selected files are highlighted and counted in the footer.
  • For images, you can preview thumbnails before selecting.
  • For single-image selection, only one image can be selected at a time. Flexible selection and preview options help you make the best choices for your proposal content.

Editing and Managing Files

  • Use the actions menu (three dots) to edit image captions or delete files (if supported).
  • You can filter, search, and sort files to quickly find what you need. Efficient file management keeps your workspace organized and clutter-free.

Saving and Applying Selections

  • After selecting files, click Insert or Select Images (for images) to attach them to your proposal or agent.
  • Your selections are not saved until you confirm and close the modal, so you stay in control of your selections and ensure only the right files are added to your proposals.

Tips

  • Use subfolders to organize large libraries of files, making it easy to manage and retrieve files as your library grows.
  • Use the search and filter tools to quickly find relevant files, speeding up your workflow.
  • You can upload new files at any time without leaving the modal, so you never have to interrupt your work to add new resources.
